WHO ARE WE?
Path to Freedom is a faith-based, Gospel-centered addiction recovery group that exists to offer real hope and lasting healing through Jesus Christ. We are a ministry of First Baptist Church aimed at helping others with addiction.
We recognize that true freedom doesn’t come from willpower or self-help methods alone, but from a deep, personal relationship with the Saviour Who came to rescue us. Whether you're battling addiction yourself or walking alongside someone who is, this group is a safe place to be honest, be known, and find help.
OUR FOUNDATION
Our foundation is firmly rooted in the Bible. We believe that God’s Word is alive, powerful, and able to transform lives. Through Scripture, prayer, and fellowship, we explore addiction through the lens of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We know that recovery is not a straight line—but through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, we are reminded of God's unending mercy and the strength He provides for each step.
At Path to Freedom, we understand that everyone comes with a story—and all are welcome, no matter your background or where you are in your journey. This is not about pretending to have it all together. It’s about coming together in humility and honesty, pointing one another to the only true source of hope: Jesus Christ.
GETTING STARTED
We meet every other Thursday at 6:30pm at First Baptist Church. If you’re seeking healing, support, or simply a place to be reminded that you’re not alone, we invite you to join us. There’s a seat for you at the table.

Path to Freedom is for anyone struggling with addiction of any kind. We offer guidance and support for addiction to drugs, alcohol, smoking/vaping, pornography, food, anger, gambling, and screens/social media.
